Goggles with flaps covering the eyes.
Who said that the apocalypse is the heat of the desert, the merciless sun and lack of water? Maybe you are going to meet deadly cold of icy wasteland covered with snow to the horizon?
You can be ready with inspired by Inuit's snow glasses preventing snow-blindness, postapocalyptic goggles. Although goggles are awesome as well not only for winter time.
Goggles are made of brass, plastic, leather and pieces of fabric. The part adjacent to the eye is made of plastic careffuly edged with soft leather. Goggles are aged with chemicals, and in time they will start to darken and acquire a noble patina. Slides are made of plexi. Dropped flaps are ripped in irregular way, they are supposed to replace dark glass while crossing burnt Wasteland.
