Regulations for personalized products

1. A Custom Order, also called a Personalized Project, is designed and made especially at your request. Remember that the Custom Order is an exception to the right to withdraw from a contract (concluded off-premises or remotely) in which the subject of the service is non-prefabricated goods, manufactured according to the consumer's specifications or serving to meet his individual needs. This means that you cannot return or exchange this type of product.

2. You can order a Custom Order in one of the following ways:

  • by completing the form on the Custom Order website;
  • by writing an e-mail to contact@wastedcouture.net;
  • by contacting Wasted Couture via social media, links are available in the footer of the www.wastedcouture.net page;
  • by writing a message to the Wasted Couture shop on the Etsy platform;
  • by registering in person at Wasted Couture’s workshop or at a sales booth during trade fair events;
  • By calling: +48 786 659 276 (if you are calling from abroad, we recommend using WhatsApp). We speak English!

3. After expressing your interest in the Custom Order, we will ask you to:

  • Choose the product category (e.g. jacket, t-shirt, full suit);
  • Provide a deadline for when you need to receive the product;
  • Share your vision with us - we will ask you to define your expectations as precisely as possible, and to show us photos or graphics that will serve as inspiration;
  • If you don't know precisely what you want, don't worry! We will take care of it, examine your needs and offer you something ourselves. We do it professionally!

4. If we are able to meet your expectations, such as the completion date, and accept your order, you will receive a price estimation from us.

5. For selected projects, you can receive a 10% discount off the total price. If we decide that a given Custom Order has the potential to become a new item in our assortment, we may ask you for permission to duplicate it (without clearly individual details, such as your logo or nickname included in the design). Such a project will go on regular sale in our online store. This way we expand our store's offer with another amazing project, and you will enjoy a lower price. Of course, you can also refuse consent – then you will be the sole owner of a unique product, with a guarantee that no one will receive its duplicate from us.

6. The next stage will be to pay a down payment. The down payment is 50% of the product value from its price estimation and, according to the definition, is non-refundable. By paying it, you approve the initial agreements of the Custom Order. The moment we receive the payment gives us the green light to start work: we then order the necessary materials and plan the next stages of production. To sum up: paying the down payment is the moment of physical start of creating your dream product.

7. You can pay the deposit using a method of your choice:

  • payment by transfer after receiving the transfer details;
  • purchase of a personalized product displayed via the online store www.wastedcouture.net;
  • purchasing a personalized item listed by your name on the Etsy platform;
  • payment by card or cash in person at Wasted Couture’s workshop or at a sales booth during trade fair events;

8. You can agree with us to prepare a concept art before proceeding with the order. If you decide to have us draw one, you will receive it on a date we specify together. The concept art will be made based on your guidelines and the details agreed during correspondence. Sometimes, together with our clients, we decide to skip this stage, especially when the client asks us for a 1:1 reproduction of his drawing or graphic, e.g. AI-generated by the client. This allows us to go straight to the production stage.

9. During and after the creation of the concept art, you have the right to request minor changes to the design (e.g. change of colors, arrangement of details, modification of shape), but the changes cannot concern the nature of the design itself (e.g. you cannot replace a jacket for trousers). However, if you decide to completely change the concept, we start the procedure from the beginning and the down payment paid by you for the original project you abandoned will be forfeited.

10. The final product, created based on the conceptual drawing, may look slightly different. The drawing represents our idea of your product. The actual item will be made within physical capabilities and will differ in some details that are impossible to predict or capture at the sketch stage. The difference may result mainly from adapting the design to your figure or eliminating potential inconveniences during use. All our products undergo rigorous quality control, are checked and tested by us. We know how important comfort of use is, and with small adjustments we want to make your product as comfortable as possible.

11. Together with the concept art, you will receive a list of the final product features agreed upon with us. If the drawing was not required, you will receive this information after paying the down payment.

12. Once you have accepted the concept art, you will be asked to pay the full payment using a method of your choice:

  • payment by transfer after receiving the transfer details;
  • purchase of a personalized product displayed via the online store www.wastedcouture.net;
  • purchasing a personalized item listed by your name on the Etsy platform;
  • payment by card or cash in person at Wasted Couture’s workshop or at a sales booth during trade fair events;

13. Receiving the full payment for a product means we’re committed to complete it. At this point, we will inform you in detail how to take your personal measurements necessary for production. Don't worry – we will guide you through this stage as simply and gently as possible!

14. From this point on, any modifications you want to make to the resulting product will require an additional fee.

15. At your request, we can send you some W.I.P. shots of the process of creating your dream product. Just tell us about it! :)

16. After completing the production of a Custom Order, in most cases we take product photos to archive it in our portfolio. You can see them before we ship your product – just let us know. We don't send the photos by default – customers often prefer to have a surprise :)

17. We reserve the right to use product photos of all Custom Orders for promotional purposes (publication on social media, on our website, in catalogs, leaflets and in any other materials used to promote the Wasted Couture brand).

18. At your request, the publication of product photos can take place at a time convenient for you (e.g. after the premiere of a music video in which the product appears, after an event at which you are going to wear the product, after the date on which the product will be given as a gift, etc.).

19. Product photos of your Custom Order may remain unpublished, but this is an additionally paid service.

20. More information can be found in the Terms of Service.
