Hey there! The trip abroad is over, such trips have their own charm :D The emotions are slowly calming down, the boxes are almost unpacked as well, we have some time to tell you a little bit more about the party we were at!
Wave Gotik Treffen is an annual music festival held in Leipzig, Germany, which has been taking place since 1987. Currently, WGT attracts around 20,000 participants each year. This year, over 200 musical artists performed on various stages throughout the city over the course of four days.
Wave Gotik Treffen is not just a music festival: it also includes artistic performances, readings, picnics, theatrical and operatic performances, art exhibitions, and many other events. WGT has evolved, and along with it, the entire scene surrounding it. Today, the whole city comes alive with this event for several days. The residents of Leipzig greatly appreciate the uniqueness of this event and celebrate together with its participants. Shops and restaurants are decorated in black, and gothic music can be heard everywhere.
But most importantly, you can see incredibly dressed people in many places. From cybergoths wearing fluorescence dreadlocks, Victorian goths in period clothing in black tones, fans of The Cure with teased hair and red lipstick, to vampire goths styled after the cult film "Interview with the Vampire," steampunk goths, and even latex-clad fans of fetish style.
We feel honored that this year we had the opportunity to be part of this amazing event. We had the chance to feel very appreciated, as our style strongly resonates with the hearts of the festival's participants. The dark post-apocalyptic style we create fits perfectly with the gothic style.
At the event, we met our fans who have been following us and supporting us for a long time, but we also gained new enthusiasts of our fashion. It’s amazing how colorful, warm, and friendly the gothic community is. We were warmly welcomed by everyone! This festival certainly holds a very special place in our hearts. We can wholeheartedly recommend attending this amazing event.
You don't have to be a goth to enjoy it.
