Our first Ambassador! 0
Our first Ambassador!

The sun blazed overhead as dust swirled across the barren expanse. Somewhere in the distance, the rhythmic thrum of engines echoed, and shadows danced on the cracked earth. This is where we thrive: the edge of civilization, where creativity rises from the ashes of the apocalypse. And at the heart of our wasteland?

Trina Casteele, the embodiment of everything Wasted Couture stands for: innovation, individuality, and the undeniable spark of survivalist style!

How It All Began

Trina’s journey with Wasted Couture began, like many of ours, with a search for something unique. A few years ago, she was preparing for an event that required costumes. Scouring the internet for “post-apocalyptic clothes,” she stumbled upon our shop on Etsy.

“It was love at first sight,” Trina shares. “All the pieces I was drawn to came from one place: Wasted Couture! Every detail spoke to me, and I knew I’d found something special.”

From that moment, Trina became a dedicated part of our wasteland tribe.

Our Products That Trina Loves

Round sunglasses with mesh
“No look is complete in the wastes without eye protection. The detail in these glasses is unmatched. They’ve saved my eyes, and my style: countless times!”

Post-Apocalyptic Infinity Dress
“This dress is my go-to. The removable train lets me switch up the look, and it’s so comfortable. Plus, it’s sentimental because it’s my main outfit at events.”

Custom Neon Leather Jacket
“This custom piece is hands-down my all-time favorite. I wear it everywhere, even just around the house when I want to feel cool.”

Trina’s Favorite Playground

Trina’s favorite playground for her Wasted Couture wardrobe is none other than the famous Wasteland Weekend, the ultimate post-apocalyptic immersion event held in California’s Mojave Desert.

“It’s five days of living like the end of the world has already happened,” she explains. “Everyone is in costume, and the entire event is Mad Max-style. It’s gritty, immersive, and so much fun!”

Before discovering Wasteland Weekend, Trina didn’t think distressed or recycled clothing was her style. But stumbling into this world and finding us changed her perspective!

“Seeing how creative you can get with recycled materials and random things lying around your house made me fall in love with this look,” she says. “Now, I want to attend post-apocalyptic events all over the world!”
